Ministry of the Environment extends the date during which can be registered for the competition “TOP environment-friendly enterprises” till December 3rd 2003. The purpose of the competition is to acknowledge the efforts and investments of Estonian enterprises for decreasing environmental pollution, to promote environmentally clean production modes, and to raise consciousness of sustainable development directional activity in public. All Estonian production and service firms can participate, including those that attended last year. The winners will be determined in two categories, large enterprises, and small and medium companies. The winners will be announced in the early spring of year 2004 and the victors can participate in the European Awards for the Environment contest (http://www.eu-environment-awards.org/).
