At the auction for fishing possibilities for shrimp in the 3L fishing zone of the North-East Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) held today, fishing possibilities for 77 tons of shrimps were sold at their prime price.

Two companies, Dagomar and Reyktal, participated in the auction. Dagomar obtained the possibilities to fish for 47 tons, Reyktal - for 30 tons of shrimp.

Today’s auction was organized in relation to the opening of additional fishing possibilities in the NAFO’s 3L fishing zone. NAFO has increased the fishing possibilities in the mentioned region in spring, thanks to the improved state of the shrimp stock. The fishing possibilities available for Estonia were consequently increased from 67 tons to 144 tons - i.e. by 77 tons.

At today’s auction, the total fishing possibitilities were proposed as eight objects: seven of those at 10 tons each (with the prime price of 4000 EEK/t) and one object of seven tons at the prime price of 2800 EEK/t.
