The training session had real results as two swans and one long-tailed duck were caught. The birds will arrive at the rehabilitation centre for birds in Keila late tonight.

The bird rescuers and the representatives of the International Fund for Animal Welfare continued the search for oiled birds in the polluted area in cooperation with the Border Guard of Estonia.

In the rehabilitation centre for birds in Keila, the employees of the National Nature Conservation Centre and volunteers filled the pools with water and expect to be able to start washing the first birds tomorrow. Today, the health assessment of the birds was continued to prepare the birds for washing.

Almost one hundred birds are alive in the rehabilitation centre in Keila, mostly goldeneyes, long-tailed ducks and swans.
